Mina Hong
Mina Hong joins ECIC as the Vice President of Strategic Impact. Mina brings extensive experience in early childhood policy, systems building, and advocacy to advance high-quality, equitable, and inclusive early childhood systems.
Prior to joining ECIC, Mina served as a Director at Start Early, a national early childhood organization, where she was instrumental in building the organization’s Consulting team. In that role, she led high-impact, equity-centered consulting engagements with public sector leaders, advocacy organizations, providers, and families to advance federal, state, and community goals for stronger, more equitable early childhood systems. Much of Mina’s work focused on the needs of young children with disabilities and developmental delays and their families, as she firmly believes that if early childhood systems can effectively serve children with disabilities and delays – especially children of color with disabilities and delays – then they can work for every child.
Additionally, Mina previously served as a Senior Policy Associate at Michigan’s Children where she helped secure state budget and policy wins for families with young children. She also brings experience advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives at the University of Michigan Division of Student Life and New Detroit, Inc. Mina also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Michigan School of Social Work.
